About Roots

The root system of a plant constantly provides the stems and leaves with water and dissolved minerals. In order to accomplish this the roots must grow into new regions of the soil. The growth and metabolism of the plant root system is supported by the process of photosynthesis occurring in the leaves. Photosynthate from the leaves is transported via the phloem to the root system.

Roots hold the plant firmly to the ground . It also take in water and minarals for the plant to grow. They take in nutrients and minaral salts. -Most plants have roots that grow underground. There are three types of unerground roots:Fibrous ,Taproot and Adventious.

More about roots

Hi everybody

I am Nicole and I would like to tell you more about roots!

* Through the roots, the plant is able to get their water supply which they need to grow.
* If the plants do not have roots they will fly around when it is raining.
* If you ask me a question like why does the plant fly arond? I will say that because roots hold the plant firmly to the ground.
* Every part of a plant has a job to do like example the flower where new seeds are made, green leaves make food, the stem supports the plant and the roots suck up water.

Facts about plants

*some green leavesturn red and gold in autumn before they die in winter.
*The rafflesia from south east asia is the biggest flower in the world.Flies visit it because of its rotten smell.

About Roots

Hi ,everyone i am going to tell you more about Roots

Roots creep underground everywhere and make a firm foundation. Shoots seem very weak, but to reach the light, they can break open brick walls. Imagine that the brick walls are all the problems we have inflicted on our planet. Hundreds of thousands of roots & shoots, hundreds of thousands of young people around the world, can break through these walls. We CAN change the world. We need roots to hold onto the ground firmly.

Dear Miss Coelho,

I am going to share with you more about roots. The roots is the organ of a plant that typically lies below the surface of the soil. The two major functions of roots are 1) absorption of water and inorganic nutrients and 2) anchoring of the plant body to the ground. In response to the concentration of nutrients, roots also synthesise cytokinin, which acts as a signal as to how fast the shoots can grow. Roots often function in storage of food and nutrients. They also holds the plant firmly to the ground. This is the end, I hoped you enjoy it.

Roots of plants

Hi,everybody

I am going to share with you about plants.

Roots are a part of a plant, they are the first stage
of growth for the plants.
The roots grow in soil and absorb the nutrients.
They also help to make food for the plants.
The roots also help the plant to stay still and
in the ground.
If plants do not have roots they will be blown away
or washed away by the rain.

Roots

A plant system is made of different parts of a plant working together. Each plant part has its own function. The leaves, roots, stems, flowers, fruit and seed make up the flowering plant system. The roots holds the plant upright. The roots of a plant usually grow downwards into the ground. The function of the roots is to absorb minerals and water. They also ancho the plant in the soil and hole it firmly to the ground.Roots have roots hairs which are small hair-like extentions from the root.Root hairs increase the surface area of the roots and enable the roots to absorb more water.Water is used by the plant during phtosynthesis to make food.

Hi everybody!Im going to share with you about roots. In vascular plants, the root is the organ of a plant that typically lies below the surface of the soil. The first root that comes from a plant is called the radicle. The two major functions of roots are 1)absorption of water and inorganic nutrients and 2)anchoring of the plant body to the ground.

In response to the concentration of nutrients, roots also synthesise cytokinin, which acts as a signal to how fast the shoots can grow.Roots often function in storage of food and nutrients. The roots of most vascular plant species enter into symbiosis with certain fungi to form mycorrhizas, and a large range of other organisms including bacteria also closely associate with roots.

solar eclipse

Hi Mdm.Coelho,

The solar eclipse was so long it was 6min or more. The next solar eclipse is going to happen on the 2132 thats about 123 years away .
On Wednesday, 2009 July 22, a total eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses half of Earth. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow begins in India and crosses through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China. After leaving mainland Asia, the path crosses Japan's Ryukyu Islands and curves southeast through the Pacific Ocean where the maximum duration of totality reaches 6 min 39 s. A partial eclipse is seen within the much broader path of the Moon's penumbral shadow, which includes most of eastern Asia, Indonesia, and the Pacific Oceanom on the 22nd of july 2009.

The Amazing Solar Eclipse

Hi!!,
I'm Aisyah.The solar eclipse(this year)the duration(total)is around 6 minutes.The moon and the Sun makes a straight line.According to the scientists,"
Such a lengthy duration will not be matched until the year 2132".

This is a once in a lifetime.Although Shanghai was one of the most affected countries,Shanghai was raining so you could not see much of the Solar Eclipse. But then, at that time, there was actually a drop in tempreture.Alot of people went to countries that can see the full Solar Eclipse
.I find this interesting for learning!!

Yours Faithfully,

Nurul Aisyah Syahirah

Solar Eclipse By John Paul

The moon has no light of its own but shines by sunlight reflected from its surface. As the moon and sun circles the Earth, they form a straight line, first the sun, then the moon and then earth. The moon will block the sun, so at first the sun will be sticking out a little bit. Slowly, the moon will cover the sun, making it pitch black. Even Earth will be pitch black. Our sun is our main source of light. Without it, everything will be pitch black if there is no other light, so our sun is very important.

Regards,
John Paul =)

The solar eclipse

Hi,Ms Coelho
i am going to share with u about a solar eclipse.

The solar eclipse is an event that the sun and the moon are in a straight row or line. The moon is in front while the sun is behind.

The solar eclipse happened over 6 minutes.China and india were affected by the eclipse for a short while.
Shanghai was the best place to see the eclipse. It was the longest eclipse so far.

Thank you

Hi, Miss Coelho I am going to share with you about the solar eclipse.

The solar eclipse on 22/7/09 Wednesday (whitch is today) is 6 mins and 39 sec. It is the longest solar eslipse in the 21st centry. There will never be one that is this long entil 13 June 2132. This are some dates that solar eclipse happened: China, August 1 2008, Turkey March 29 2006 and many more.

Solar Eclipse

Hi Miss Coehlo!I am Nur Hidayah.I am going to tell you about the solar eclipse.A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and earth so that the sun is fully or partially covered. This can only happen during a new moon, when the sun and moon are in conjunction as seen from the earth.

Sincerely,
Nur Hidayah.

Eclipse

Hi,Ms Coelho,

An eclipse is an astroonomical event that occurs when one celestial object moves into the shadow of another. When an eclipse occurs within a stellar system, such as the Solar System, it forms a type of syzgy—the alignment of three or more celestial bodies in the same gravitational system
along a straight lime.An occultation of the Sun by the Moon is termed a solar eclipse.A total solar eclipse occurs when the Earth intersects the umbra portion of the Moon's shadow.Lunar eclipses occur when the Moon passes through the Earth's shadow. . Since this occurs only when the Moon is on the far side of the Earth from the Sun, lunar eclipses only occur when there is a full moon.

David

Solar Eclipse

Hi Ms Coelho I am going to share with you about the Solar Eclipse,

There are many types of eclipes, total eclipse occurs when the Sun is completly obscured by the Moon, an anullar eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line, but the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun,a Hybrid eclipse transitions between a otal and Annular eclipse and a Partial eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon are not excatly in line and the Moon only partialy obcures the sun.The Solar eclipse of 22 July,2009 was the longest eclipse of all other eclipse,it was 6 minutes and 39 seconds in some places. It caused tourists interest Eastrn China, Indaia and Nepal.
