Area:
Area is the amount of space inside the boundary of a flat (i.e. two-dimensional) object such as a triangle or square. The area of a figure measures the size of the region enclosed by the figure. This is usually expressed in terms of some square unit. A few examples of the units used are square meters, square centimeters or square kilometers.
e.g.
Area of a rectangle = length x breadth
In case of a square since length = breadth
So Area of a square = length x breadth
Perimeter:
It is he curve or line enclosing a plane area, i.e. it is the distance around the outer limits of any two dimensional object. This is usually expressed in terms of some unit of length. A few examples of the units used are meters, centimeters, kilometers
e.g.
Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 x (length + breadth)
Square Root:
In mathematics, the square root of a number (say X) is the number (say r) when multiplied by itself (i.e. r) the result is equal to the given number (i.e. X)
r x r = X
r2 = X
e.g.
Square root of 25 is 5.
5 x 5 = 25
