Hello Miss Coelho and friends! I am here to share about leaves.
Leaves contain a Green pigment called Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll helps
the plant to trap sunlight for a process which the plant make food
called photosynthesis. Plants need carbon-dioxide, sunlight and water in
order to make food. Oxygen is produced in the food making process.
Leaves come in different shapes and sizes. There are leaves with lots of different
shapes. There are heart-shaped, umbrella-shaped, spear-shaped and sword-shaped(etc).
They have different edges too! Entire edge, jagged edge, lobed edge, toothed edge(etc).
