• saliva in your mouth breaks down the chemical in your food a bit.
• The saliva also makes the food soft and mushy and easy to swallow.
• The tongue also helps , while your teeth is chewing the tongue will push the food around.
• When you are ready to swallow, the tongue will push a bit of mushed foo called a bolus .
• And soon it will travel down a tube called gullet also known as (Esophagus)

Facts

1. Do you know why we choke ? I know it is because we got 2 tubes the windpipe and the gullet so sometimes it will accidentally go down the windpipe .
2. Do you know how long is your small intestine ? I know it is as long as your own height.
