Plant System by Serene

Hi, everyone, I am going to share more about Plant System.:)
Plants have different parts and each part performs different functions. The parts of a plant include the leaves, roots, stems, flowers and fruits. A plant system is made up of different parts of a plant working together, each performing its own function.
LEAVES: The leaves of a plant make food for the plant. Hence, a plant will die if all the leaves are plucked off. The leaves contain chlorophyll which traps the sunlight and allowing it to make food. Leaves can be classified according to their shapes, colours and types of edges. They also have different leaves patterns: network and parallel.
ROOTS: The roots of a plant absorb water and dissolved mineral salts through their root hairs. The roots also help to keep the plant firmly in the soil.
STEM: Trees and shruns have strong woody stems and they can stand upright and their leaves can get the maximum amount of sunlight. There are many tubes inside a stem whereby some of the tubes carry water and mineral salts. Another set of tubes carry food made by the leaves to other parts of the plants.
